Resumen La Ley 41/2002, de 14 de noviembre, basica reguladora de la autonomia del paciente da valor legal vinculante a las voluntades anticipadas (VA) en Espana. Sin embargo, la situacion en cada pais de la Union Europea es distinta y desconocida para la mayoria del personal sanitario. Para conocer esas diferencias, se realizo una recogida y estudio de las distintas legislaciones en materia de derechos del paciente, y se establecio una comparativa actualizada de las caracteristicas que cada pais otorga a las VA. Moral assessment of frozen human embryo adoption in the light of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church

As the number of frozen human embryos continues to rise daily, with numbers not expected to fall, an answer must be found to this dilemma. Four possible solutions have been suggested: a) thaw the embryos and allow them to perish; b) thaw them and donate them for biomedical research; c) thaw them and donate them in adoption; and d) leave them frozen indefinitely. This paper will evaluate the morality of these four possible solutions, particularly frozen human embryo adoption in the light of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, which in its Instruction Dignitas Personae, appears to have opted to consider this practice as illicit. The recent financial crisis has triggered an intense debate about the role of banks in society, presumably changing the criteria used in the evaluation of organizations. Against this backdrop, we investigate the changing role of banks’ organizational features in shaping different dimensions of banks’ organizational reputation. Using the media as an important evaluator, we measure the reputational dimension of visibility based on the frequency of newspaper articles and the reputational dimension of favorability based on the sentiment of newspaper articles. We employ existing data sets and agent-based modeling to forecast changes in religiosity and existential security among a collective of individuals over time. Existential security reflects the extent of economic, socioeconomic and human development provided by society.
